Although these may look like your average ordinary lights, they are not. These lights have plagues the foothills of North Carolina since long before people inhabited the mountains. The Indians had stories to tell about the mountains and the lights, they tried to explain them as spirits of past Indians or warriors. However the Indians were correct in form. The spirit happened to be a Windigo, a native american monster that consumed its victims. It was not a monster of sorts more of a past life form intruding on present times. The lights were spots where the Windigo had taken its prey and released their souls(which explains why the lights change positions nightly). Needless to say Chip and I had a pretty tough match with this spirit. Being alone on a haunted mountain is no picnic, we were also bothe required to split up on occasions.
